Service Learning

Giving Back to the Community

Service is a fundamental part of a Foxcroft education — and has been since the School was founded.

Our service learning model engages students in activities with intentional learning goals and dedicated time for reflection. Girls learn to care about and make a difference in the world around them by working with local and global communities, fostering an understanding of different cultures and environments.

Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service

A Day On, Not a Day Off

In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Foxcroft annually hosts a Day of Service where all students participate in planned school service options in lieu of attending classes. As service is one of the core values that guide our school community, this Day of Service allows our students to reflect on the work of leaders like Dr. King and take an active role in the work that remains.

My involvement in Banneker has really enriched my experience at Foxcroft this year. It’s very fulfilling to do this every Thursday and feel like I’ve accomplished something.
